X Platform Outage Due to Cyberattack

On Monday, March 10, 2025, the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) suffered a massive outage affecting thousands of users worldwide. Reports began surfacing early in the day about difficulties accessing content and general disruptions in the service.

Elon Musk, the owner of X, confirmed in a post that the outage was caused by a “massive cyberattack.” He described it as a large-scale, highly coordinated attack, suggesting the involvement of a well-funded group or even a nation-state.

In an interview with Fox News, Musk stated that the attack aimed to disrupt X’s infrastructure, and preliminary investigations indicate that the source of the attack could be linked to Ukraine-based IP addresses. However, no official confirmation has been made regarding the responsible entity, and the investigation is still ongoing.
