In an unprecedented move to enhance digital education, the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, in collaboration with Huawei Morocco, has launched the “Digital School” (DigiSchool) initiative. This ambitious project, part of the 2022-2026 roadmap, aims to create a sustainable transformation in the Moroccan education system by integrating advanced technology to ensure equitable access to digital tools for all students across the country.
Initiative Details:
Teacher Training: A total of 265 teachers from 12 regions across the kingdom have been trained in the pedagogical use of modern technologies, enhancing their ability to deliver innovative educational content.
Student Benefits: More than 2,650 students have directly benefited from the program through projects focused on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and web development.
Encouraging Innovation: Regional hackathon events were organized, bringing together 714 middle school students who explored real-world challenges and developed technological solutions suited to their environments.
National Training Camps:
The program concluded with national training camps held in three Regional Academies of Education and Training, located in the regions of Fès-Meknès, Marrakech-Safi, and Souss-Massa. These camps brought together 180 students and 60 teachers from across the country, offering intensive development courses to enhance digital skills and improve innovative projects.
Field Visit:
The Minister of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, Mohamed Saad Barada, accompanied by the Vice President of Huawei Morocco, Shen Xiaoli, conducted an inspection visit to the Agadir region to assess the progress of the initiative. During the visit, the minister emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in enhancing digital competencies and achieving a comprehensive digital transformation in the education sector.

David Li, the General Manager of Huawei Morocco, reaffirmed the company’s ongoing commitment to collaboration and innovation in digital education. He highlighted that the “Digital School” initiative reflects a shared vision to strengthen digital skills and solidify the partnership between the public and private sectors, contributing to the development of an inclusive and resilient digital education system.
