Apple Releases iOS 18.3 Update to Fix Critical Security Vulnerabilities

Apple has released an urgent iOS 18.3 update to address critical security vulnerabilities that cybercriminals have been actively exploiting. This update includes over 20 security fixes targeting components such as AirPlay, Kernel, Safari, and Passkeys.

One of the most concerning vulnerabilities affected CoreMedia, potentially allowing attackers to access sensitive user data through a malicious multimedia application. Another flaw left Safari’s WebKit engine vulnerable to remote code execution by hackers.

Apple strongly advises users—especially those running versions older than iOS 17.2—to update their devices immediately to prevent unauthorized data access and potential financial losses. The update is compatible with iPhone XS and later models, as well as select iPads.

Additionally, iOS 18.3 introduces new features, including Apple Intelligence, an AI-powered tool designed to enhance user experience, though it has also raised some security concerns.
