New Leak Reveals Specifications and Price of the Foldable iPhone

Apple Plans for a High-Priced, Innovative Foldable iPhone

A recent report revealed that Apple intends to adopt a high-pricing strategy for its first foldable iPhone. The device is expected to surpass the price of current foldable phones available in the market.

Expected Price of the Foldable iPhone

Recent leaks suggest that the launch of Apple’s foldable iPhone might be imminent, but at a high price. According to financial analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the phone’s price could range between $2000 and $2500. As a result, it would surpass Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6, which is priced at approximately $1900.

In his latest recommendations to investors, Kuo clarified that the iPhone’s price would be between $2000 and $2500, surpassing other foldable phones in the market.

Reasons Behind the High Price of the Foldable iPhone

Apple is known for maintaining its position as a top manufacturer of high-quality smartphones. This aligns with the company’s pricing strategy, especially for its first editions. For instance, the price of Apple’s first smart glasses, “Vision Pro,” is around $3499.

Kuo also noted that the company aims to deliver high-quality design and exceptional specifications that justify the price difference, which would help attract consumers despite the higher cost.

Innovative Design of the Foldable iPhone

The foldable iPhone is expected to feature an innovative design. Apple is focusing on eliminating the wrinkles that appear on foldable phone screens, a problem that no company has fully solved so far.

Additionally, the company plans to use titanium alloys for the phone’s exterior, incorporating stainless steel and titanium in the internal components, similar to what will be seen in the iPhone 16 Pro series.

Slim Design and High-Density Battery

The new phone is expected to feature an ultra-slim design, with a thickness ranging between 4.5mm and 4.8mm when fully opened, making it one of the thinnest foldable phones on the market. This advanced design will position the device as a strong competitor to phones like the Honor Magic V3 and the latest Oppo Find N5.

Regarding the battery, Apple is expected to use high-density battery technology, the same technology it is considering for the upcoming iPhone 17 Air. This would enhance energy efficiency while providing high performance, all while maintaining the slim design.

Launch Date and Future Expectations

Despite growing anticipation, the foldable iPhone is still a long way from an official release. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the final specifications of the device will not be determined until the second quarter of 2025. Moreover, mass production is expected to begin in the last quarter of 2026. As for its market release, the phone is likely to be available to consumers in the second half of 2026.
