In a historic step aimed at improving the quality of education and combating illiteracy, the Minister of National Education, Preschool Education, and Sports, Mohamed Saad Barada, held a large meeting last Tuesday in Rabat. During the meeting, he called for intensified efforts from all stakeholders to eradicate illiteracy and engage in lifelong learning.
Barada emphasized that this initiative is part of Morocco’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and ensuring inclusive and accessible education for all. He pointed out that the fight against illiteracy requires the combined efforts of educational institutions, civil society, and the private sector.
He also stressed the importance of updating curricula to include 21st-century skills and providing a learning environment that encourages innovation and critical thinking.
